The Canim Lake employment and training services maintains a resource of job openings available in and around the Canim Lake area.

In addition the employment and training services is also responsible for the administration of a number of programs and services for specific job training.

The Canim Lake Band enjoys a sound financial status that is both accountable and transparent and follows Government of Canada standard accounting practices. Funding is provided by many agencies that include various Federal and Provincial agencies as well as many private agencies and companies. Reporting requirements are stringent and exacting but always correct and timely. The Canim Lake Band has a staff that has been with them for many years - some as long as 25 years. Education, experience and stability are the Canim Lake Band's guiding tenets to maintaining the high standards of the Finance Department.

Canim Lake I.R. #1: 4400 Acres

Band housing and public buildings area

Created:

July 10, 1887 by commissioner O'Reilly.

Main Subdivisions:

Main Village Site, West Subdivision and East Subdivision. Band owned public building are mainly located at the main village site.


Canim Lake I.R. #2: 160 Acres

Located:

Half way between Canim Lake and 100 Mile House, BC

Created:

By Commissioner O'Reilly

Main Subdivisions:

Four homes occupied and two hay fields (used annually).



Canim Lake I.R. #3: 40 Acres

Located:

North of I.R. #2, on Archie Meadow Road

Created:

June 12, 1916 by Commissioner O'Reilly

Main Subdivisions:

40 Acres allotted on behalf of George Archie



Canim Lake I.R. #4: 40 Acres

Located:

South shore of the east end of Lac La Hache

Created:

June 12, 1916

Main Subdivisions:

One home situated on I.R.#4. 40 Acres allotted on behalf of Jimmy Dixon.


Canim Lake I.R. #5: 148 Acres

Located:

Shore of northeast end of Canim Lake

Created:

December 8, 1947

Main Subdivisions:

Veteran land granted to Paul Theodore and property has been allotted to the Band. Lakefront is subdivided and there are some leases with future plans for a lodge, cabins, camping grounds and trails.


Canim Lake I.R. #6: 40 Acres

Located:

Shore of Christopher Lake north of the north east end of Canim Lake

Main Subdivisions:

Veteran land granted to Peter Christopher and property has been allotted to the Band.
