The Wellness program offers the following services through various contracts with outside agencies:

Counselling services for children, youth, adults who are at risk of family breakdown or experiencing trauma because of family violence
 
Family support services for children, youth and families who are at risk
 
Assist with cultural traditional activities with children, youth, family and community
 
Offers assessments and referrals for community members to access external resources
 
Respond to community crisis when required
 
Community Justice Program offers support to community members going through the criminal justice system, adult probation supervision, and working with the community justice committee on restorative justice initiatives

The health department is responsible for the overall well being and health of all community members. The following Services are provided at the health centre:

 
Physician visits every Monday from 1:00PM - 4:00 PM
 
Community Health Nurse provides preventative care (prenatal, parenting, communicable disease, child & youth, injury prevention and new initiatives as requested)
 

Community Health Representative provides assistance to physician
 
  
Alcohol & Drug Worker provides referral services to either detox or treatment programs
 

Health Statistics Coordinator enters all relevant health data into a health information system
 
Home Support Services provides support to the elderly and handicapped in their homes on a weekly basis
 
Home & Community Care/ Elders Centre provides health care, assessments, case management and nursing treatments to elders and patients released from medical facility who require on-going medical care.
The Elders Centre provides programming to increase wellness of the community by improving the social, mental and physical health of the elders in community.

Water Samples from community buildings and homes are collected randomly each week and analysed for general bacteria, total coliform and fecal coliform at the Prince George Laboratory.
