| The
maintenance staff is primarily responsible for all the community
infrastructure such as buildings, roads & bridges, water systems,
septic & sewer systems, fire hydrants, street lighting and housing
repairs.
Maintenance
staff completes minor repairs to houses on reserve when they receive
a work order from the housing department. |

The Canim Lake Band Housing department manages the following 82
housing units:

Each
of the units were built by our local construction company, Three
Feathers Construction and maintained by our maintenance department.

Repair
requests are submitted by tenant to the housing manager who
will fill out a work order for the maintenance department. |
Currently there
is a waiting list of 21 singles and 16 families however, there will
not be any new homes built for the next two years. |

Three Feathers Construction crew works mostly on the capital projects
for the Band. A majority of the capital projects is funded through
Indian & Northern Affairs of Canada capital projects.
The
Construction Company employs a full time crew of five including
two qualified journeyman carpenters, one who is the supervisor of
all projects. |
